FROM THE CASTLE TO THE VILLAGE OF MONTSÉGUR

Going down from the castle car park to the village of Montségur, a footpath called “l'Argentière” allows the visitor to continue the walk after having climbed up to the castle.

FAMILY HIKING TRAILS

You can find brochures (€1.50) at the Tourist Office and at Montségur Museum proposing family hikes taking between 30min and 3hrs.

The more sporting amongst you can hike up to the Pic Saint Barthélémy (2,348m) where you will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the Pyrenees, passing via the mythical Devil’s Lake and Trout Lake...

Lastly, a walk through the de Frau Gorge is sure to leave all ramblers’ with imperishable memories...
